Burning old things as a wish for a wealthy new year is a tradition that the "Pro Loco Faedis” and other Association revived after years of decline. It’s an aggregative moment for the Faedis community, where these traditions are revived, which have belonged to the Friulian people for generations.
In the municipality of Faedis they are switched on 3 Pignarûl:
- Campeglio January 5 at 18.30, Piazza Gemellaggio Vittorio Veneto;
- Ronchis January 6 at 18.00, Via Crosade;
- Raschiacco January 6 at 19.00, Frasca Perabò.
ALLA CORTE DI REfosco di FAEDIS
April 22,23The “Refosco di Faedis” is one of Friuli’s many enological specialties, a typical and local grape variety, which for years has been pleasuring the palates of those, who had the pleasure to taste it. Right now is a time when attempts are made, to enhance all the Friulian enological peculiarities in full, and what could be better, than to savour these tastes in the places and among the vineyards, where they grow?
With such an intent the “Pro Loco Faedis” and the “Associazione Volontaria fra i Viticoltori del Refosco di Faedis” organized this event, which allowed people, by visiting local canteens and wine cellars during the April 22-23 weekend, not only to taste the Refosco di Faedis, but all the other enological specialties as well.
During those days, everybody was also invited to “Alla tavola di RE Fosco di Faedis”, having lunch or dinner in the various restaurants, canteens, cellars and “agriturismi” joining the initiative. The chance is there, to enjoy menus and/or dishes especially prepared to exalt the match with our best wine or, better said, our “King” wine of Faedis.
